With the weddings of my 2 children, Justin and Jillian, this year I’ve been spending a lot of time looking at bridal registries.  For the newly engaged, a registry is a giant wish list of all the things they would love to have to create their special home.  I’ve often thought about what I’d put on my registry if I were to do it again in 2015!  Here are my Top 10 Wedding Registry necessities!

1.  Casual Dinnerware: In white

Let’s face it, there’s a reason restaurants use white dishes – it makes the food stand out so much better.  If you don’t want something plain, try a design like this one from Sur La Table!

2.  Fine China

It’s no secret that I’m a pushover for anything blue…but this set is both simple and elegant!

3.  Non-stick Cookware: Ones that will really last!

Forget the discount stores on this one and get some that will last.  My favorite go-to skillet is my HUGE Calphalon non-stick with a glass cover.  The bigger the better, especially for an Italian mother that likes to cook!

4.  Bakeware: Le Creuset

I make a shredded beef that has to cook for hours.  I put it in my Le Creuset and don’t have to touch it until it’s done.  Yes, they are a little pricey, but worth every penny.

5.  Table Linens: For everyday, and special occasions

I have drawers of beautiful table linens in my buffet.  The only problem is I don’t use them!  The thought of having to starch and press them after each use really limits how often they come out of the drawer.  If I were to do it again, I’d pick an elegant placemat or runner that simply needs to wiped down at the end of the night!

6.  Towels: The fluffiest ones you can find!

This is a wish list, my friends, so put the softest, fluffiest towels you can find.  They will last you for years!!

7.  Bedding: Don’t skimp on the thread count!

This is another one of those things that you should go for quality.  There’s nothing better than slipping into beautiful, fine Egyptian cotton sheets.  Shopping for bedding requires you to use your sense of touch first!

8.  Tea Set:  You can never go wrong with vintage!

Who doesn’t love being served tea in a real teacup?  Yes, mugs are great, but tea seems just a little tastier and teatime that much more special when drunk from a vintage teacup.  Try consignment stores for this one!  They are loaded with a treasure trove of vintage pieces!

One of the most important items in my kitchen is my mixer.  Whether or not the bride-to-be (or groom-to-be!) is a chef now, chances are they will be!

10.  Food Processor- Cuisinart

Here’s an appliance that will just make life a little easier!  Shred a bag of carrots for that carrot cake by hand or just push a button and have them done in minutes!
