In our last post, we talked about how 2021’s design trends are largely being driven by what will bring us comfort and joy in this new year. In 2020, we’ve spent more time in our homes than ever before, and boy do we miss the outdoors!

It comes as no surprise that we’re seeing so much more nature in this year’s gorgeous designs. Earthy tones, animal prints, natural woods, and rustic textures are all on the top of 2021’s hottest trends.

Let’s give your home a breath of fresh air this year with some of these quick tips!

Go Natural

Animal prints don’t have to be so traditional. Although we love a well-placed cheetah print, that’s not for everyone and we get it. While traditional cheetah prints and tiger stripes can seem like a bold statement, there are lots of neutral spins on the classic that have a soft and pretty feel. We paired Company C‘s “Catwalk Rug” with custom stool cushions to add a subtle natural flair to this coastal home.

Raffia, rattan, and capiz shell are all great ways to bring texture in from the outdoors.

If you prefer a bolder style, find inspiration in all of the colors and lines from vibrant florals and twisting woods!

Sparking joy and color in your home can begin with an accent wall in that one wild wallpaper that you love, but may feel overwhelmed committing to in a whole room. Try it out in a smaller space and see what a huge difference it can make in your mood. (This one is from York, but we love that Tempaper offers gorgeous peel-and-stick options, too!)
