It is with great excitement (and a motherly dose of pride) that I introduce you to my daughter, Jillian. Jill has been my blogmaster extraordinaire since the inception of our blog. She’s decided to take an even more active role in the company, and pursue her own extended degree in Interior Design. Jill and I just returned from Las Vegas Market and I asked her to author this week’s feature blog. So, Jill, here you go…

As you may have seen, Susan and I had a great time at the Las Vegas Market this summer! We saw some of our favorite brands and designers, as well as met several new artists and familiarized ourselves with their work. It was so inspiring to us to see so many of these collections, and wanted to take a moment to share with you some of our favorites!
1. Feather Chandelier by Visual Comfort Lighting
This chandelier grabbed our attention almost instantly because of its unique and delicate nature. We LOVE this chandelier so much, that we may even use it for a client here who loves this Gatsby-style, early 1900’s design!
2. Marilyn Chair by Global Views
This one has been a favorite of Susan’s for a while, but seeing it in the showroom at Global Views was great to feel how smooth and heavy this chair is despite its light, airy look. This is a great quality chair, and way more comfortable than it looks!
3. Xaviera Stool by Christopher Guy
The showroom we were most excited to see was admittedly Christopher Guy. The way that he designs his products is so unusual, that it creates a true feast for your senses just experiencing his artwork. This stool was one of our favorites because of its classic, practical, yet signature look. We think it would look great at a bar or counter to add just a little pizazz to your space with that elegant cross in back.
4. Ocean-Inspired Chandeliers from Currey & Company
When we are looking for fun, funky, yet great quality lighting, Currey & Company is one of our go-to brands. Their showroom at Market dazzled with their many ocean-inspired pieces, including these gorgeous chandeliers with sea shells and sea glass! Any of these would be the perfect choice for a beach house- I could definitely see us showing one off in our Cape house this summer!
Everywhere we went, it seemed that this look was taking over Market! Furry chairs, pillows, sofas, poufs… you name it! We loved the pouf and pillows by Surya because of how soft they were to the touch, yet we loved this blush color for more practical reasons over the stark white that has become so popular. This would definitely be a bit more forgiving in a busy home, and oh so inviting to cozy up to!
Mirrored furniture can really expand the appearance of a room (see our post, Make Your Room Appear Bigger…WITHOUT Remodeling!), and this Chelsea Desk did just that. It was paired with bright, vibrant oranges in the showroom that made the desk just sparkle. If you love a contemporary style, this is the desk for you!
7. Indoor/Outdoor Furniture by POLaRT Designs
Yes, you are seeing this correctly. POLaRT Designs makes indoor/outdoor furniture that looks like THIS! How fun!! We had never seen anything like this, and were enthralled to hear all about their products and how easy the care is! These chairs would be just so fun in the right space, don’t you think?
One of my personal favorites from Market was meeting Phoebe from Langdon Ltd. and learning about her gorgeous textiles. They are all hand woven, and of wonderful quality. We got a few pillows to try out in our West Coast office, where they will be the perfect addition to the sunny, laid back style of California. We can’t wait to show them off!
We had such a great time at Market, and hope you like our picks as much as we did!
