I just returned from a fabulous (and oh so warm!) trip out to the west coast to see Jillian.  After some San Diego fun time we headed East to Palm Springs for a little desert getaway.  There is so much beautiful mid-century modern design, at times I really felt like we traveled back in time!  We also stumbled upon an exhibit from Desert X – a house made entirely of mirrors, inside and out.  It reflected the mountains and desert in such a unique way!

Palm Springs is a beautiful, funky little town amidst this grandeur.  From the hotels, to the houses, shops, and art galleries, it seemed that everywhere in Palm Springs was rocking that amazing retro look!   Combing the mid-century style with bright colors, prints, and shiny metals, really ties the look together and gives it a more modern flare.

You don’t have to go to Palm Springs to get the look.  Here are some of our favorite vendors and their takes on mid-century modern.   What do you think of these looks?
